The hostel

Our hostel is a modern building, was built in 1995 as a family business on the former premises of Bar Martin, has three floors with all exterior rooms. Through this page you can choose the one you like, if it is free, of course. All of them without exception have bathroom inside the room and are designed to shape and type varied enough to meet different expectations: larger for families with children who are extra beds, and smaller and romantic couples, even attics wood paneled. We have a total of 15 double rooms with a high degree of comfort and remember that we can turn some of them in triple handsets, or even a quad with two interconnected rooms.

We are really close to the north shore of Lake Sanabria. In the web pages you will find many establishments claiming to be in the Natural Park of Lake Sanabria, is not it, only a few are inside the park. Actually we are only located in Ribadelago (like us), in Vigo de Sanabria or in San Martin de Castaneda. The distance from Hostal Lake is 300 meters.

We take special care in a high degree of hygiene according to the highest standards, and as a fundamental element of our business. The rooms are very cozy and warm, family atmosphere, our best advertising is transmitting our customers. In this aspect our rooms are maintained, clean and sanitized so that our customers are comfortable and safe. We recommend that for times of the year with massive influx of tourism to this area, book at least 15 days in advance to guarantee the reservation. For the month of August we recommend a month earlier.

In the hostel have exclusive cafeteria for our guests staying restaurant, summer terrace unfurled a large lunch and dinner. More than 10 options menu for every day of the week including Saturdays and Sundays.

We cook typical dishes of the area as wheals with sausage, trout, chops and steaks, grilled meats, etc. But we have also developed dishes high level of cuisines from other places, we make pies of all kinds, mushrooms (this year have given us great the cibarius Cantarellus) pepper, trout cream of shrimp, and very sophisticated desserts like Mouse chocolate cream custard and cream puff cake with cream and custard, tiramisu whims, sanabresa burnt cream, sanabresa Quesada, lemon pie, cheesecake, with six different cheeses, etc.

Sanabresa Quesada is the star lately, but please do not ask the recipe, eat it and do not ask. This year our cook is being exceeded, the flan has done lately with Baba not know what .... is second to none. We serve groups with menus for all tastes and budgets from 10 euros per person. And of course typical menus based on local produce, with wheals Sanabria with chorizo, prawns trout in cream, chops grilled beef, lamb, etc. There is something for everyone.

Indeed, the variety of salads is very spacious and all with lettuce grown in our orchards and roasted peppers Trefacio Valley Vidriales.
